I feel like for the first time in five years I can breathe. I wept as Kamala Harris was sworn in as VP, I bawled when Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States, and I can’t help but recall the thing I read recently about bodies only allowing emotion to fully escape when we feel safe to do so.
For the first time in four years, I feel safer.
Are things magically healed and fixed? No. Is there a lot of work yet to be done? Absolutely. Always is.
But do we get to start now? Yes.
I have vivid memories of grief and anxiety 4 years ago in a chat room with @sassaspazz and others. I feel like we’ve all been raised from the dead.
Damn, Greta.

That girl has been waiting for her moment and she got it.
